Thank you for your interest in serving with JACCK Foundation for the Arts! Our volunteers are essential to helping us provide creative programming to seniors, veterans, youth, and families throughout our community.

To maintain a safe, professional, and uplifting environment, all volunteers must meet the following requirements:

✅ Age Requirements

Must be 15 years or older

Volunteers under 18 must submit parent/guardian consent

Certain roles may require volunteers to be 18+

✅ Application & Approval

Complete a Volunteer Application

Participate in a brief orientation session

Sign required liability and media release forms

Pass a background check (required for volunteers 18+ working with seniors, veterans, or youth programs)

✅ Commitment & Attendance

Arrive on time

(On time is late — please arrive 10–15 minutes early)

Honor your scheduled shift commitments

If unable to attend, provide at least 24 hours notice

No call / no show may result in removal from the volunteer roster

✅ Dress Code

To maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere:

Wear comfortable, modest clothing appropriate for a family-friendly art space

No leggings as pants

No flip flops

Closed-toe shoes required for safety

Hair must be neat and presentable

JACCK volunteer shirt should be worn at events

✅ Professional Conduct

Volunteers must:

Treat all guests with kindness and respect

Support our mission of creative healing and community engagement

Maintain confidentiality when working with vulnerable populations

Refrain from inappropriate language or behavior

✅ Responsibilities May Include:

Event setup and breakdown

Assisting instructors during art sessions

Supply organization and cleanup

Guest check-in and hospitality

Supporting seniors and veterans during therapeutic art sessions

Administrative or marketing assistance (if applicable)

✅ Service Hour Documentation

Community service hours will be tracked

Letters of completion available upon request

Volunteers must complete assigned hours responsibly to receive documentation
